Detect and Alter BPM Beats Per Minute
The BPM component of Music Speed Changer iOS detects the Beats Per Minute of any track in your collection. It also shows you the new BPM of the music when you adjust the Tempo.
Here are the steps to use Music Speed Changer iOS for BPM detection and alteration:
Tap the Gear to Open Settings
Settings can be accessed from the "Listen Now" tab as well as from the editor.
Click the gear icon at the top.
Add the BPM Component
Selecting BPM and Musical Key under editor modes will place the BPM component to the editor.
You can also add the BPM component to your custom layout under configure custom.
Note that if in addition to detecting the original BPM, you plan on changing the BPM, you will also need to add the Tempo component.
Adjusting the BPM
In the editor, use the Tempo controls to alter the BPM. Below the Tempo is raised by two semitones to change the original BPM of F minor to G minor.
As you move the Tempo slider, you will see the music BPM change on the right as the Tempo is shifted up and down using the Tempo controls.
Correcting the detected BPM
In some cases your understanding of a track's BPM may differ from the AI detected BPM. If you want to correct the detected BPM, tap on it to open the BPM picker. Often the detected BPM is half or double the perceived BPM, in which case you can use the buttons above the picker. *2 doubles the detected BPM, /2 halves it, the arrow resets to the originally detected BPM.
Note that altering the detected BPM will only alter the display value. To change the BPM of the current track, use the Tempo controls.
