Musicspeed Analysis Scale

Keep in mind that this "analysis" was written by Isospeedrix(who so far has only written stuff for BoA and the Love Hina compilation album), and does not necessarily reflect the opinions of the rest of the people that write for this site.

Musicspeed not only rates the quality of individual tracks of an album, but also analyzes the overall content of the album. There are 4 catagories:

Speed - relative amount of fast paced songs in the album
Slow -
amount of slow songs in the album, opposite of speed
Melody -
amount of songs that are melodical, that is, there is a distinct melody that can be heard
Rhythm -
amount of songs that are based upon strong rhythms and beats. These songs are usually lacking in melody, which makes this category an opposite as well.

Albums are rated these 4 categories out of 10 to get a relative feel of the composition. To sample how we do this, take these general genres:

Rock based albums usually have high speed and almost no slow. They usually lack melody and have strong rhythm.

Rap, have extremely high speed, no slow, zero melody, and max rhythm.

Pop albums usually have a mix between speed and slow, and a mix between melody and rhythm.

Classical music would have a mixture of speed and slow, max melody, and few rhythm.
